Our Primary School is going to celebrate the Europe Day 2011 with the following activities:




8:00-10:00      My kite – My right! (Grades 1-8)
                      You, Europe and your rights (Grade 9)


9:00-10:00      Sharing my thoughts with a Commissioner! (Grades 4-9, selection)

10:00-10:30    Europe in my School - Results of the Photo Competition (200 pupils, Grades 3-9)


10:30-12:00    European Culture in my School (all Grades)


11:00-13:30    Meetings through Skype (Grades 4-9, selection)
11:00-11:30     Carl Hamrin, Communication Team, Directorate-General of Home Affairs, European Commission
11:30-12:00     Steven Bainbridge, Senior Expert - Stakeholder Relations, CEDEFOP - European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training
12:00-12:30     Katarína Neved’alová, Member of the European Parliament from Slovakia

13:00-14:00    I am feeling the intercultural dialogue (all Grades)


14:00              Phone call from Boris Zala, Member of the European Parliament from Slovakia
14:00-15:00    The biggest European flag in my School’s playground! (all Grades)

In addition to the above activities School will try to co-operate with the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia and:

- will provide the following to the pupils: a. EUBookshop’s publication “Let’s explore Europe!”, b. poster of Europe Day 2011, c. gifts (postcards, lanyards, key rings, stickers etc.)

- will design a special publication with all the audiovisual material of all the activities and distribute it to the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia, to the Headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels, to the European Parliament, to the Council of Europe, to other Schools, to the Town Council of Ziar nad Hronom and to local media

- will cooperate with Združená škola hotelová, dance schools etc.
